Voyageurs Add English Midfielder

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. May 3, 2019 - Green Bay Voyageurs announced the addition of Marquette midfielder Louis Yuill to its opening day roster. Louis is the third Golden Eagle named to the lineup.

Joining Marquette in the spring semester, Yuill made the transition to the United States following an impressive academy career in England where he spent seven years with West Ham United before joining Birmingham City. In his time with the Hammers, he led the U16 squad to a runner-up finish in the Premier League Tournament on his way to earning Man of the Match, following his performance in a match versus Barcelona.

“I am extremely excited to play for Green Bay Voyageurs FC, and I can’t wait to contribute to the team and make it a successful inaugural season.” Said Yuill about joining the Voyageurs.

"Louis is a creative player and we are looking forward to see what he can do for our midfield this year.” added Head Coach Brian Kamler.

The Voyageurs open their inaugural season with a trip to Des Moines on May 11.The Voyageurs’ first home game, and first ever event at Capital Credit Union Park, is slated for Friday, May 31st at 7:00 against WSA Winnipeg. Season, group and single game tickets are on sale now. The team name, colors and crest are being developed with input from the public to build a team that truly represents the community. The team will play its home games at the new Capital Credit Union Park.
