Voyageurs Fall 2-1 at Home to Kaw Valley

ASHWAUBENON, Wis.- A 90th minute goal by Kaw Valley’s Lorant Lettnek handed Green Bay Voyageurs FC its first home loss, and second league loss on Friday Night at Capital Credit Union Park.

In stoppage time Lettnek scored the Cranes their second unanswered goal to pull ahead to earn three points on the evening, the first points conceded by the Voyageurs at home.

In the opening minutes, Sam Thornton scored off an assist by Anthony Markanich to give the Voyageurs an early 1-0 lead. Later in the first half Alex Durbin leveled the match at one heading into the break.

In 53rd minute, Kaw Valley’s Jordan Salt was issued a red card, but the Voyageurs were unable to capitalize before Lettnek’s late goal to pull ahead.

The Voyageurs return to action on Saturday at Capital Credit Union Park. Kick off is at 7:00 p.m. All kids who show a Kids’ Day wristband will receive free admission to the match.
