Prange Goal Leads Voyageurs to Draw

ASHWAUBENON, Wis.- Forward Ben Prange tallied a goal in stoppage time for Green Bay Voyageurs FC (4-4-5) to force a 2-2 tie with St. Louis Lions on Saturday evening at Capital Credit Union Park.

In stoppage time, Prange tucked home a loose ball earn the Voyageurs a point in the fourth matchup between the teams this season. 

In the first half, St. Louis opened the scoring Luon Barbosa Santana, netting his first goal of the night, giving St. Louis a 1-0 lead 17 minutes into the half. The Voyageurs managed to get record 4 shots on net in the first half, but couldn’t find the equalizer.

In the second half, Green Bay picked up the shooting barrage with three additional shots on goal. In the 78 minute, Alex Welch answered for the Voyageurs leveling the game at one. Just 10 minutes later Barbosa Santana netted his second goal of the evening to pull ahead before Prange equalizer.

Green Bay Voyageurs FC will close out its inaugural season tomorrow (July 14) taking on Thunder Bay Chill. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park.
